Marty’s Song Live Performance

I am still reeling from yesterdays performance of my piece, Marty’s Song. It is the first piece of mine performed by a live orchestra. The Rockford Community Orchestra performed yesterday at the Rockford High School Fine Arts Auditorium and featured Marty’s Song.

It was an amazing experience to hear my music performed live – and to hear it all come together over the months of rehearsals. I can’t thank the Orchestra and Char Lothian enough for their willingness to perform Marty’s Song. It was a dream come true.

Well, come November, I am making my now annual trip to LA to network with the Stars! Ok, not really Stars like you may be thinking, but stars in the music supervision field. These are the people who can get my music into TV, film and Games. This is the one chance I get to meet face to face with decision makers and try to sell them on my music.

Last year I ran a kickstarter project for help financing my latest CD, XI. One of the levels of sponsorship included a piece written specially for the contributor. The first one to sign up was Marty and Dud. So, here is my piece written for them.

The idea was kind of a day in the life. If you know Marty, you know her to-do list is a mile long. So, this is how I imagine she might spend her day – always upbeat, always smiling and being positive.
